Great value weekday menu in a lovely setting.
We sampled the Tuesday evening Beer and a Burger menu (£10 for a choice of burgers and a wine, beer or cider). It was superb value.
The setting is very well executed; stylish and cosy.
The service was fine, a little stilted and the only thing preventing me awarding The Cock O’Barton 5 stars.
If you fancy making a night of it, they also have rooms (ranging from £99 to £130 depending on the date).
They offer the most extensive vegan and gluten free menus that I’ve seen in a gastro pub.
Always worth booking in advance to ensure they’re not closed for a wedding.
There’s a courtyard for alfresco drinks and dining.
It’s the sort of place that makes a nice destination on ride out on your motorbike or if you like a drive.
I’ll definitely be making more regular trips here.
