Pinot, pizza and pudding at #Artichoke Cafe Bar Bistro, Chester, to kick off the weekend.

A really well executed menu of casual and tasty dishes at reasonable prices. The pizzas are truly fabulous (and currently 241 on a Monday after 5pm).  I was bold enough to venture they are the best I’ve had outside of Italy, let me know if you agree!

For gin fans, there’s a very extensive choice, cleverly divided up on the menu by tasting notes (spicy, from the allotment etc).

Visit on a sunny day and there’s (limited) canal side seating outside.

I can highly recommend as a destination in it’s own right, or its perfectly placed to start off a night out in Chester (Martini Espresso for pudding in that case please!).
