Blind Tiger is nestled in a 17th centre timbered building in the heart of Shrewsbury town.  It specialises in cocktails, craft and world beers.

Blind Tiger Shrewsbury - cosy cocktails - Review My Trip

We visited on a Saturday at around 5.30pm, just hitting the cross over between people daytime drinking and it getting busy for the evening.  This meant the atmosphere had a nice cosy buzz as the bar got busier and the lights went down lower.

I opted for an English Bellini from the extensive and original cocktail menu.  The pear purée gave it a slightly grainy texture towards the bottom of the drink but the taste was divine (if you plump for one of these, just swirl the glass as it goes down to avoid this).  I always take it as a sign that a bar that knows what it’s doing when a champagne or prosecco cocktail arrives in a traditional coupe or saucer as my cocktail did.

The rest of my group thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails and wheat beers (and the thoughtful dish of popcorn delivered to the table).

The decor is quirky but cosy, I can see it would be easy to loose whole afternoons here!
